I had another midwife appointment this week and we both checked out perfectly.
I’ve gained a few pounds over all (I finally broke past 140!), my blood pressure was good and baby’s heartrate was in the 160s, he or she was probably excited from the nachos and Arnold Palmer I had for lunch!
I met another midwife on the team and she was delightful. I’m so happy that they’re “anti intervention.”
Right now, my only “complaint” (I’m really not complaining!) is a crusty, blood nose and sneezing, no doubt a combination of increased blood flow with pregnancy and everything in bloom in the desert. I’m using my essential oil diffuser/humidifier every night and that seems to help. Beyond that, I just have to keep a tissue nearby at all times!
I have DEFINITELY “popped” and now my uterus is just below my belly button. It’s so fun to FEEL the baby instead of just feeling mushy.
The day before, I could feel stretching…I even told Drew, “I feel like I’m expanding!” and the next morning, I could feel this MASS there. Sure enough, yesterday that’s where she found the heart beat!
Last night I could swear I felt some swishes and bubbles and Drew thought he could, too!
We have our anatomy ultrasound scheduled for the 27th and the gender reveal party on the 29th!! I don’t know how I’m going to make it, seriously.
I’m loving this phase!
I’ve purchased a few new tops to cover the belly, not maternity so I can wear them post-partum, too. I love showing off the bump and I REALLY love not sucking in!
So things are plugging along and I feel fantastic! I’m eating and sleeping great and able to rest amidst my events and driving the boys around. Life is good!
Now we wait to see if this baby is a son or a daughter!
